$17-$18 Position Overview:
As an Industrial Equipment Sanitation Worker at an almond processing warehouse, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our industrial equipment and machinery.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all equipment used in the processing, packaging, and storage of almonds meets stringent cleanliness standards to comply with food safety regulations and maintain product quality.
Key
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of industrial equipment, including conveyors, sorting machines, blanchers, roasters, and packaging machinery.
Disassemble and reassemble equipment components for deep cleaning and sanitization.
Use cleaning agents, sanitizers, and specialized equipment to eliminate bacteria, allergens, and contaminants from surfaces and machinery.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and operating sanitation equipment.
Conduct routine inspections to identify and address sanitation issues, equipment damage, or wear and tear that may compromise cleanliness standards.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to schedule equipment sanitation activities, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, including cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance logs.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines to ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
Participate in training sessions on sanitation procedures, chemical handling, and safety protocols to stay updated on industry best practices and regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in food safety or sanitation is a plus.
Previous experience in industrial sanitation, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with sanitation equipment, cleaning chemicals, and sanitation standards (e.
g.
, GMPs, HACCP).
Ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy equipment/components, and work in confined spaces as required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, overtime and holidays as needed Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
Stamina to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
