The ideal candidate will have prior operations management experience working in an almond processing environment or other food processing.
This is a great opportunity for the ideal candidate! The Operations Manager is a pivotal part of our plant management team in advancing the performance of people, and systems in the operations team and plant, to the highest possible standards.
The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation (We run 24/7), leadership, and management of the plant.
The Operations Manager also has a shared accountability for ensuring reliable, cost-effective, and profitable operations of the plant while meeting and exceeding our quality standards.
What You Will Do:
Ensure Employee Safety and Safety Compliance Responsible for leading all manufacturing employees in safely operating the plant, to meet production, quality, safety, and environmental goals Participate in job safety analysis activities Maintains a presence on the plant floor, driving two-way communication with all employees Ensure quality of product leaving the plant meets/exceeds customer satisfaction with order fulfillment Monitor and maintain items on productivity, and budget management/cost management.
Implement continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and management methods to generate improved plant performance and workflow optimization and efficiencies Responsible for inventory and materials management, as well as capital planning and implementation Assesses and manages the salaried staff and hourly employees within the plant.
What We Need From You:
A minimum of 5 years of well-rounded experience managing an almond or food processing plant Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations Knowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods Track record of excellent judgment and decision-making ability Ability to successfully work to reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required Ability to effectively set and communicate expectations & directives to manufacturing/production staff Results-driven, analytical, self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to logically identify alternative solutions or approaches to complex problems Must have demonstrated accountability at the plant management level and have a strong track record of successful execution Demonstrated success as an innovative manufacturing leader Demonstrated ability to manage operations efficiently and effectively with excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills The plant is a 24/7 operation - MUST BE FLEXIBLE Must be versatile in Data Analytics Physical Requirements:
Exposure to indoor elements in an almond processing plant Wear personal protective equipment as required Position requires onsite presence Job Type:
