The Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations in the yard, including managing and supervising yard personnel, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that all functions are completed daily.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and setup entire auction (paperwork and physical setup) Hire and motivate staff to develop a productive cohesive team Supervise yard personnel and assign duties to personnel to coordinate workflow based on project requirements - will work alongside the employees when needed to get the job done Initiate disciplinary action as required Ensure that all safety protocols are implemented and followed.
Schedule routine safety meetings Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies Organize and schedule vendors for detailing and repair of approved auction items Obtain Bids from vendors with pricing for projects needed for yard maintenance Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations Implement and train personnel in company policies and procedures Maintain and repair equipment as needed Maintain a neat and clean yard and yard office at all times Maintain optimal level of customer service and assist to resolve all customer issues Must be willing to work around auction schedules Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in a similar role Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures Auction and equipment knowledge helpful Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in various weather conditions Seeking someone who is looking for a future with our company.
Must be motivated, willing to learn.
Must be willing to work outside in any weather conditions.
