Natural Vision Natural Vision Madera, CA Madera, CA Full-time Full-time $21 - $25 an hour $21 - $25 an hour 20 hours ago 20 hours ago 20 hours ago A busy Ophthalmology and Optometry practice with offices in Fresno, Madera, Clovis and Sanger is currently looking for an experienced Optical Manager to join our team in Madera Location.
This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and supervise the Optical Department
Responsibilities:
Participate in staff and physician education.
Supervise, train, and support personnel.
Work with Accounting to provide data for analyses of profit-loss margin of optical services.
Reconcile statements from suppliers for purchases made (match invoices).
Assist in the establishment and/or revision of guidelines, policies and warranties.
Maintain inventory of eyewear, accessories, and supplies, along with the rationale for the ordering and selling of selected eyewear products.
Work with representatives of frame manufacturers to determine appropriate frames to purchase for population served.
Negotiate responsible and favorable prices for lab and frame products and services.
Establish pricing at the retail level for all eyewear products and accessories.
Provide physicians with a quarterly status report noting progress of optical department, problems (patient or otherwise), recommendations for improvement and growth, other comments.
Prepare patient's superbill, collect payment and input charges into computer system; balance receipts at end of each day and prepare appropriate forms for deposit.
Listen, investigate, and resolve patient complaints in friendly and effective manner.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in administrative services or other related fields Minimum three (3) years of optical experience required Experience in Ability to prioritize and multi-task Strong organizational skills Deadline and detail-oriented Strong leadership qualities We offer competitive compensation, benefits and profit sharing.
